Nanotechnology Nokia Morph - Constantly Changing Nokia Lifestyle Cellphone (GALLERY)
[Edit]
The new Nokia Morph is a concept mobile phone that showcases the future of phones born from the interaction with nanotechnology in its design and manufacture. The Morph is a collaboration between Nokia Research Center (NRC) and the University of Cambridge (UK) and goes on show at the “Design and the Elastic Mind” exhibition, at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
The versatile and adaptable Morph can be stretched, shaped and moulded into many radical and functional forms and the concept further demonstrates the future of mobile lifestyle devices. The user will enjoy ‘personalisation’ way beyond anything that is available to date and this ultra-functional phone looks set to make any present phone about as subtle and sophisticated as a brick.
Nanotechnology will be able to create unique characteristics for the Nokia Morph, to include flexible materials, transparent electronics and self-cleaning surfaces; it will even have sensors that will be able to tune into its surroundings - and just check out this video to see it in action.
