 Star of NAIAS Detroit 2008? From the man that designed the Aston Martin DB9 and BMW Z8, the Karma rings all the bells. Henrik Fisker seems to have achieved his goal of founding ‘green American premium sports car company’ with Fisker Automotive, Inc. The Karma, powered by a four-cylinder gasoline engine in combination with a stack of lithium-ion batteries that drive an electric motor, moves from 0 to 62mph in 5.8 seconds and tops out at 125mph, it can drive emission-free on its electric motor for up to 50 miles a day, provided the car is charged every evening, before the gasoline engine kicks in.  The sexy sports sedan hybrid, of which only 15,000 a year will be produced, will be able to run 50 miles on a pure electric charge. After that, you can extend your trip to more than 620 miles with the Karma's gas or diesel engine, which will reportedly get close to 100 miles to the gallon.
