From New Zealand, a new emerging brand MYDEERFOX explores a new and playful method of fashion construction. By using the method of interlocking, much like puzzle making, it adds another dimension of interaction between the design and the wearer.

The finished clothing can be made anywhere and by anyone, breaking down the importance of where it is made, transferring the value to the making and design experience itself.

The concept is a system of fashion metamorphosis which allows customization in design. By collecting different pieces, garments can be interchanged and transformed based on individuals taste in style and detailing, building a personalized collection.

It’s an experiment that re-examines the current clothing concept from out side the fashion square.

The first series of jacket were made in MYDEERFOX’s founder Lisa Li’s final year of fashion degree in Auckland University of Technology, exploring the possibilities of laser cut technology in fashion and bringing an element of interaction into fashion.

The two jackets from the second generation is a refinement and exploration of details of this new alternative system of fashion clothing.

The new series of MYDEERFOX puzzled jackets will be coming out very soon with an online shop opening early next year, so watch this space to be the first to get your hands one of these amazing jackets.

Implications - It is utilizing the new technology of laser cut in fashion in an innovative way, opening up opportunities to create a whole new system of how we can wear clothes, and building platform for collaboration between creatives and designer/wearer as the consumer may have their own way of assembling a jacket.
