All-American Rejects Cover Britney Spear’s ‘Womanizer’

After being number one on the music charts only three months ago, Britney’s hit Womanizer has been covered by the All-American Rejects.

We’re all used to parodies where the words of songs are changed, but this gypsy-inspired remake borders on cover and parody.

The words aren’t changed, but the band slows the song down and uses child-like accordions and empty beer bottles as instruments. This cover uses their raw talent, where Britney’s original version is over-synthesized.

It will be interesting to see if more bands will be doing covers while songs are still popular, rather than waiting many years to revive an oldie, yet goodie.

Very nice... :) Me First and the Gimme Gimmes used to do punk-style covers of pop songs, including Britney, but a cover from a more prominent band like the All-American Rejects is a testament both to 'Womanizer' as a song and to the talent of the AAR!

Its nice, but the BEST womanizer cover is by Timid Tiger. You can hear it at their myspace.
