The Murata Manufacturing Company has had its Murata Boy and Girl in the works for about five years, but the two darling droids have received much anticipated upgrades that will have them cycling with new skills.

The female Murata Seiko can now ride her unicycle along a sinuous beam, which is an improvement from her previously mastered straight course. Her male counterpart, Murata Seisaku, can hold a better charge and will now cycle wirelessly. Together, the Murata Boy and Girl are paving the way for cutting-edge robotic technologies including the use of sensors, gyroscopes and much more.
