MTV "Rock Band" Video Game Launched & It Rocks (UPDATE) (VIDEO)

Could a new video game save music? In the competitive world of gaming, it’s hard to make a product stand out, but it seems EA and MTV were successfully able to captivate an audience with the launch of a new video game, “Rock Band,” on Tuesday.

“Back in the day, MTV revitalized the music industry by beaming the latest videos into any household with cable,” said E Online.

“Could a videogame do the same for the MySpace generation?

The first gameplay footage hit the web in the summer, but it wasn’t officially available to the public until yesterday.
