MTV's iconic Moonman trophy has been redesigned to coincide with the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. This version of the statuette keeps the same basic elements of the original Moonman but is given a fashion-forward touch. The remixed Moonman is created by fashion designer Jeremy Scott, who wanted the redesign to capture the true essence of both his aesthetic and the spirit of the music network.

The 2015 Moonman will be given a rainbow hue to mirror early television color bars. The statue will also feature a large peace-sign necklace and Scott's signature winged sneakers. The VMAs have long been an event that blends the worlds of music, television and fashion together and this Moonman makeover represents that.

This is the second Moonman redesign -- the first was for 2013's Brooklyn event. Going forward, MTV may continue re-modelling the Moonman to feature specific designers or hosting cities.
