StockMood.com is a TechCrunch 50 beta company that uses advanced artificial intelligence to analyze news stories and measure their potential impact on a stock’s price direction. If conditions are right, a Sentiment Alert is issued to you, telling you that there is a high probability of stock price movement over the next five days. StockMood reminds me of a movie I once saw called ‘pi’ after the mathematical symbol. It was about a man who tried to analyze everything in the news and relate it to the stock market. In the movie, he was crazy, but perhaps this artificial intelligence is on to something.  Stock Mood is like having a top analyst AND a top trader sitting right at your desk with you, analyzing all the information and then quantifying it for you in an easy to understand format that makes sense.
