Effectively showcasing the physical beauty of money, these beautiful sculptures created using coins and banknotes are the work of London-based artist Justine Smith.

On her personal website, Smith describes her work as an exploration of our relationship with money and our response to it—politically, morally and socially.

The flower is my favorite piece. I particularly love the way in which the artist has incorporated the artwork on the banknote to enhance the beauty of the flower.

Money has a dual role: one, a representation of labor and hours worked, and two, it symbolizes the country's primary values and ideas. Currency is a great way to spread key concepts surronding national identity because of how prevalent it is.
