Don't be fooled by the old look of the exterior that houses Dr Fleming's modern pharmacy in Milan—inside there's a design that seems to be ahead of its time. Some sections of exposed brick and the dark beams on the ceiling give away hints at the building's roots, but overall this space-age design feels foreign. Bubble-shaped shelves and lighting that protrude from the walls are complimented by freestanding units that mimic the kinds of flowers you might find growing on another planet.

While comparable 800 square foot pharmacies put forth sterile, pristine all-white displays that favor rectangular shapes, this interior design certainly isn't afraid of the irregular. By being unafraid to introduce an unconventional retail space, consumers are able to get a sense of how forward-thinking Dr Fleming is when it comes to medicine and health.
