McDonald's is Challenging Consumers to Play Mobile Monopoly to Win

In Australia, McDonald's is launching a mobile Monopoly game promotion that's challenging consumers to play to win.

With the use of the app, consumers have the chance to become immersed in an augmented reality experience that allows them to scan the "peel n reveal" tabs on fast food cups.

Players are also able to engage in virtual gameplay with a game board, which makes it easy for mobile Monopoly players to see what tickets they need to collect in order to win some of the most impressive grand prizes. A player's "stash" also functions as a digital wallet in a sense, allowing consumers to show their mobile devices in-store in order to redeem the prizes won through the McDonald's promotion.
