Mischa Barton is known for her role in “The O.C.” and her upcoming role in “A Beautiful Life” (as well as a stint in rehab), but she now plans to make herself known as a folk singer.

Mischa Barton announced she will be releasing a CD of original folk songs she wrote and will perform on guitar. A surprising choice for a twentysomething celebrity, and definitely unexpected.

While Mischa Barton has been surrounded by a lot of controversy, apparently she’ll be singing sad folk songs about it all soon.
