At first glance, I seriously didn't grasp that the MILLS & BOON photo series was mimicking classic romance novel covers. It could very well be that I'm a little thick in the head, but I would like to argue that these self-portraits were done so well that it's easy to mistaken the portrait to be a zoomed-in version of the original.

Posed and shot by Oli Beale and Alex Holder, the MILLS & BOON photo series is a clever concept with a lovingly humorous twist. These interesting cover comparisons are definitely thought-provoking, as illustrated covers literally come to life.
