Popular chain restaurant TGI Fridays is on a mission to attract a new customer base with its millennial-minded restaurant concept. With more companies competing for millennial dollars, this contemporary eatery could help the brand stay relevant with a younger crowd.

The new millennial-minded restaurant was launched in Corpus Christi, Texas, this past week to an overwhelming response. Instead of the brand's signature candy-stripe color scheme, the new eatery boasts plenty of blond wood and natural light. While the bar is still a focal point of the restaurant, the new TGI Fridays also features a juice bar and an open deli with a wide selection of grab-and-go options. The restaurant even opens early and provides free WiFi for the coffee-shop laptop crowd.

The new concept restaurant demonstrates how brands are moving away from outdated concepts in order to cater to changing consumer preferences.
