Dead birds are rarely thought of as elegant or beautiful, but Canadian company Miju makes some superb necklaces that feature deceased birdies. There are even two drop-like stones hanging below that resemble drips of blood.

The black crows are said to be inspired by a picture from a children's bedtime story--apparently I missed that particular childhood classic.

Implications - Current fashion trends are encouraging consumers to stand out from the crowd and express themselves as individuals. These consumers seek products that will allow them to do this through their unique and bold designs. Companies can manufacture atypical products to appeal to these self-expressing consumers.
