Let’s hope you did not get a Microsoft Zune media player for Christmas. A widespread freezing of the 30 gigabyte version of Zune has been reported. This error is being referred to as ‘Z2K9’ due to its timing right at 2009 New Year eve.
Microsoft has confirmed this on the official Zune web site, "Customers with 30gb Zune devices may experience issues when booting their Zune hardware. We’re aware of the problem and are working to correct it. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience!"
Yeah, I am sure the teenagers who’ve been looking forward to enjoy using their Christmas gift will be happy waiting for the error-prone company to fix this Zune error…
