2009 McLaren SLR Stirling Moss Is A Millionaire’s Dream Published: Dec 19, 08 Comments: 2 Views: 2,412 Mercedes-Benz just did the Detroit Auto Show a huge favor: they will officially unwrap the hottest car sitting in the cavern known as Cobo Hall. The 2009 McLaren SLR Stirling Moss is just one bold machine! At a price tag nearing a cool million, the Mercedes will be the final car built in partnership with McLaren. A limited edition, the car will be sold to 75 lucky dogs. With a top end of 217 mph, this isn’t the fastest production car, but it might be the most fearsome looking car ever built. 650-hp supercharged 5.5-liter V8 and the five-speed automatic from the SLR 722 will be the power plant and drive. Swing-wing doors and a retractable air brake (!) are the engineering marvels most obvious. References: autoblog Filed In: |
