Meet Knut - The New Sex Symbol of the Berlin Zoo

[Edit]
|
Knut is a 19 lb., four-month-old, cute and cuddly polar bear cub, who was abandoned by his circus bear mother, Tosca, when he was born. Already this sounds a little like Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations,” right? But who could resist that handsome face? Knut is causing all sorts of controversy in Germany because evidently the zoo keepers and Veterinarian, Andre Schuele, could not resist his charisma either and want to raise him for stud service (his only competition for dates being Koda and Nuka of Pittsburgh). Animal activists, on the other hand, are calling for his execution, contending that it is not in Knut’s best interest to be raised by humans. What does Knut have to say about all this? “Pull my finger, not my plug” and “Hey, Schuele, bring on the women.” Well, excuse me, but he is a sex symbol if I ever saw one and I’d save his little hide any day.
