As the digital age continues to make nearly every aspect of our lives more integrated with the Internet, it's surprising that there are very few other company's like Upside, who's social media department store concept is aiming to make the interactive experience of social network shopping a real time adventure for consumers.

Established in Herstal, Belguim, Upside is a social media department store set up in a multi-level warehouse. High ceilings and a non-restrictive shopping space helps to build Upside's desired consumer experience that sees this company cleverly recreating the experience of using social media sites to shop.

By purposefully choosing inexpensive store materials and allowing for free-flowing shopping styles, Upside emphasizes the importance of the liberal user experience over in-store decor. Also housing an in-store restaurant for hungry shoppers, I'm sure we'll be seeing many more of these social media department stores in our increasingly Internet-influenced futures.
