Presentation and packaging has a huge effect on the way a product is perceived and this was definitely part of the strategy the 'clёver branding agency' used to develop the concept packaging for My Own's Mayonnaise.
clёver described that its intent was to present the spread as an "organic and light product, keeping off the associations with harmful food." To do this, the mayonnaise pouches are illustrated with vegetables stacked upon one another, like you might have in a sandwich, but sliced instead of whole. As well as suggesting some pairings that the spread could work well with, on the top of the stack is the mayonnaise itself, which subtly hints at its light qualities.
