The German luxury car manufacturer has come out with a line of glasses called 'Maybach Eyewear.' Produced by the German optics company IVKO, the collection features eight eyeglass frames and ten sunglasses.
These glasses are just as luxurious as a Maybach vehicle itself. The frames offer materials such as natural horn, carbon fiber, leather, piano-lacquered wood, titanium and 18-carat yellow, white or rose gold.
Implications - Companies are looking for more ways to expand their product lines to reach a wider audience. Branching out into alternatives can attract customers that they previously did not have. A company can look at their consumers and figure out what other items would be appealing to them in order to develop a new niche in their line up of items.
