Minnesota resident, Mary Taffe has created a poignant collection of pollution photos. Living around Big Stone Lake, Mary Taffe has come across smelly and huge algae blooms that infect the body of water. Not being able to enjoy the lake for four summers in a row, Mary Taffe took action by complaining to every agency possible.
However, no agency took action against the pollution in the lake, so Mary Taffe took actions into her own hands by photographing the lake. She took her pictures and enhanced them by changing the colors in an extreme fashion. The bright and dazzling photographs make you question the health of Big Stone Lake.
