Le Marathon Du Medoc is a race that thanks place in Bordeaux, France that encourages runners to complete the 26.2-mile distance with upscale snacks and wine stations throughout the course. The run is a hybrid foodie and athletic event that moves away from the serious tone of marathon training with fun costumes, foods and interactive experiences.

While many marathons focus on timing and completion, Le Marathon Du Medoc is much more playful in tone. Firstly, contestants are encouraged to dress up for the occasion in carnival outfits. Secondly, there are stations throughout the course that provide complimentary and luxe snacks such as seafood, wine, ice cream, cheese and even steak.

The combination of food and a party atmosphere renders the challenging course length much more enjoyable to complete.
