Manuel Vason’s mixture of art performance and photography brings a new wave of boundary breaking in the human form. Contorted bodies photographed with tones of grey and brown compose a moment in time that challenges our visual senses.

The photos by Manuel Vason tell a story of handling emotional pain and finding an outlet to realize it. Vason’s work has been published and exhibited in many magazines and galleries; no wonder, given his strong use of lines.

I think his style is more 'suspended' than 'contorted'. His official portfolio (and this gallery) rarely have body contortions (only image 6 has a mild showcase of contortion). His portfolio shows much more interest in suspension in the air. Check out his official site for more goodies.

I always check portfolios and in general I know most of the artists personally. Titles are always tricky and many times have very little to do with the images. When it comes to a viisual aspect if it's contorted, or suspended...well, images speak for it self.

Oh, titles are tricky for sure, especially when its about a portfolio and not a specific shoot or editorial. I just found the 'contortion' focus strange given the lack of it in the photos. I think lead images should surely be synchronized with titles, otehrwise why choose 'contorted'? But thats my opinion. And I provided the link to his site in the previous comment because it was missing in the article, not because you didn't visit his portfolio :) I am sure readers would appreciate the link to see his work.
