Beijing man, Meng Jie, has made a striking five ringed bicycle inspired by the Olympic games. The odd-looking bicycle made from 5 large aluminum rings must be seen operational to be truly appreciated. The most amazing thing about the bike is the unique “deer running from panther” feature that enables the cyclist to ride much like a deer running away from a panther. The bike has been a 10 year project for the man who began working on it when China was first applying for the Olympics. He says that someday he wants to ride it on all of the five continents represented by the Olympic rings. “I believe the five rings bring the whole world together under the sky,” he said.
