Using mug shots of entertainment figures released by law enforcement, German-raised LA artist Schmeidler gives them star treatment; restored to glamour through a combination of imaging technology and silk screening.
She's got some interesting things to say about celebrity shadenfraude.
“We, as a culture - like many generations before us - seem to need idols. Celebrities seem to fill this human need or desire.
