Mary Wales Loomis decided to hack apart a pair of shoes to find out how they were made. To her surprise the construction seemed very straightforward and simple, so from that day forward, Mary started making her own shoes from scratch.

She has created a website to share her wealth of information so that you too can make your own shoes from scratch!

Mary Wales Loomis has even been featured on television sharing her process on shoe making. She gets orders from people all around the world who want a special pair of shoes made just for them.
