The Majestic Steam Room will hopefully go from concept to reality in the near future. Designer Mehmet AKÇA has given the steam room a complete makeover making it classier and less disgusting than the typical wet sauna.
Wet saunas are great to relax in after a hard workout, but they often retain odor and the condensation that forms on the benches and ceilings can be gross to say the least. The Majestic Steam Room would have marble benches and a domed ceiling to prevent a buildup of condensation. This simple redesign combined with colorful lighting makes the steam room instantly more desirable to sit in. Here's hoping that AKÇA turns his attention towards the dry sauna next as the complete steam room system could use a modern overhaul.
