German-Latvian creative agency Flow Design created magnetic coat hangers that replace traditional hooks with magnets. The coat hangers can attach to the underside of any metal surface, flat or circular, using powerful magnets.

By replacing the hook with magnets, the design saves six centimeters of vertical space. Because of the magnets, the hangers naturally repel each other creating a small gap between each garment. Simply hold the hangers close to the metal surface you wish to hang them on and the magnets will attach with ease making a "click" sound when it's attached.

The hangers are available in birch, black or white. The magnets do degrade over time, but the designers say it won't be noticeable as the loss of effectiveness is "less than 1% over a period of ten years."
