How much would you pay for a handcrafted mattress? Would it be worth $60,000 U.S. dollars to you? I guess it depends on how much you value a good night’s sleep. It also depends on how highly you rate a mattress that is made entirely of all-natural materials. For that price, I hope that there’s been some guy in Sweden that’s been working night and day to make my mattress for the last seven years. At that ridiculous price, you would probably be dead before you finished paying back the loan you took out to buy it in the first place.

I carry Hastens beds and they are wonderful. But I am in the process of phasing them out as I have discovered Carpe Diem Beds of Sweden www.carpediembeds.com Carpe Diem mattresses are also hand made in Sweden, using the same quality support system as Hastens from the same vendor, but at a lower price. They are also designed to require less maintenance. Most of my customers also feel that the Carpe Diem design is more attractive than Hastens, but that is subjective. The bottom line is comfort. I suggest anyone in the market for a great bed try both brands and select the one that is most comfortable to them. Jeff Klein Sleep etc and Svenska Beds Norwalk, CT
