Although I have seen quite a lot of objects that have been made to look two-dimensional pop up quite recently, nothing comes close to Luisa Chillida's stunning sculptures. These minimalist creations are clean and quirky as well as entirely original.
Unfortunately, there is not much information about Luisa Chillida or her work. Yet, it is clear that this Spain-based artist is full of creativity and imagination, not to mention skill and talent. She not only works with what appears to be metal rods, but she has also tried her hand at terra cotta sculptures, mixed-media artworks, engravings and prints. An artistic force to be reckoned with, Luisa Chillida is definitely one person to keep your eyes on.
