This incredible Louis Vuitton film examines the city of Hong Kong under the lens of a woman. It's a poetic piece executed stunningly by director Jean-Claude Thibaut. The film is titled 'When Hong Kong is a Woman...' and describes the city through a complex description of the female gender, "younger than Shanghai, the lady, this city breathes a woman's sophistication."
The poem is juxtaposed with images of Hong Kong architecture, comparing the colors of the buildings and the noise of the traffic with female fashion items. The building stands in emancipation, as does the woman who fans her lashes and highlights her lines, all the while clasping her silver handbag under a grey coat.
The narration does an amazing job at describing the city as a woman with subtle notes of melancholy.
