Locale Office Furniture Encourages Collaboration

Locale Office Furniture is a new collection designed by London-based Industrial Facility for Herman Miller. The collection is designed to foster interaction, while also allowing employees a certain amount of privacy at their workstation. Locale consists of oval-shaped desks with colorful privacy shields. The idea behind the oval desks is that they promote collaboration and openness. The small wall allows for privacy when needed. The height of the desks are also adjustable, allowing workers to switch spaces when their presence is needed in another part of the office.

More and more companies nowadays have open-concept offices. However, furniture hasn't necessarily adapted to this shift in layout. Locale Office Furniture is a great example of designers responding to the new-found focus on collaboration and teamwork in the office. Stats for Teamwork-Focused Workstations Trending: Older & Mild
