At the very least, the Lily Ashwell Spring 2014 Collection is ethereal, featuring vintage-inspired silhouettes and folksy music harmonies. A pared-down original song by Jade Castrinos is played against a sparse desert backdrop, alluding to the simplicity of the collection and the model herself.

It's a cinematic scene that highlights the brand as a lifestyle, along with the unfussy nature of Ashwell's lightweight sundresses, dungarees and cotton-voile blouses.

Prints are hand-drawn and subtle pleats add a girly note to the simply, clean lines of the collection. In the background, Castrino's soft, melodic sound carries the viewer from one outfit to the next. Now that the designer is in her fourth season, she's sticking to her minimalist roots in order to entice us with her effortless Californian-girl style. It's laid-back and charming.
