These lifeguard towers could be the perfect summer homes, as long as you don’t mind sand everywhere or small living quarters. But small living quarters shouldn’t be an issue with gorgeous sand and miles of beach right outside the door.

Lifeguard towers have never looked so inviting. Check out the gallery for examples of simple designs turned into clever shelters. Beach lovers and outdoorsy types would pay plenty to have such unique and nature-friendly homes.

While wilderness dwellers might prefer recycled lookout towers, beachcombers would surely love to live inside of lifeguard stations. Prime beach real estate, no neighbors to speak of and an elevated view out over the lake, sea or ocean. What could be better? (dornob)
