The managing editor of Laughing Squid Rusty Blazenhoff recently posted a series of life-affirming art that she found spray painted on the pavement around Venice, California. Each of these pieces of street art gives passersby a delightful compliment to help them get along with their day. One piece declares that the viewer is "perfect," while another says: "You are my reason to smile." Several others provide equally fun compliments that are sure to put a smile on the face of anyone who sees them.

This series of anonymous work is an adorable example of the kindness of strangers. Although the anonymous artist doesn't know any of his/her grateful viewers, he/she still took the time to create something to better the days of countless people. Hopefully the artist will reveal why exactly he/she wanted to surprise pedestrians with a little pick-me-up, but for now it's lovely just to think about their existence as a way to make the world just a little bit happier.
