Studio801's Lexham Bedside Tables are Deceivingly Warped

At first the Lexham Bedside Tables may look like simple, yet extremely contemporary pieces of furniture. When you look closer, however, strange details will start to appear. First of all, the surface of each table will begin to look more and more warped, and it will also look like it is shifting colors. That is because the Lexham Bedside Tables features a clever optical illusion as well as heat-sensitive tiles.

Designed by Studio801, the Lexham Bedside Tables were custom built over a six-month period. Made from Corian, it features acute angles that create a forced perspective. 137 pieces of thermochromic liquid crystal sheet interact with different sources of heat to change through a color spectrum from deep red to dark blue.
