Remember the scenes in Michael Jackson’s video for ‘Billie Jean’ where he danced and the floor lit up underneath him? Thanks to Sensacell, you can be like Mike every day--minus the moves and the red leather jacket.
These floor cells light up as you walk over them, tracking your movements over time. High-traffic areas will become brighter in time, reflecting the amount of traffic that area receives. Sensacell built this 250-square foot installation using 1,000 LED panels.
As Gizmodo points out, the purpose of the installation is to remind us of our ecological footprint.
