The LEAGUE app is a new app-based service that's set to dramatically improve healthcare for employees in the US and Canada. Companies can sign up to LEAGUE in a matter of minutes and instantly begin offering insurance benefits to employees. Through the app, users are able to work towards pain management, weight loss or eating better by consulting a number of health and wellness professionals. With a built-in system for flexible spending, payments are pre-arranged within the app so that LEAGUE pays the provider directly, which is why it's been called the "Uber of healthcare."

As well as having implications for health and happiness at work, LEAGUE gives employers data-driven findings on the services that are being used.

While LEAGUE is ideal to use alongside insurance policies that lack health and wellness benefits, it may pose a threat to traditional insurance companies that offer only one-size-fits-all insurance plans.
