Lea Donnan is a French-born artist who specializes in using immersive techniques. Her latest series, 'Desert Applique,' is a perfect example. The installation features tents made from salvaged crochet, wood and rope, distributed across the expanse of the Mojave desert. The tents feature a vibrant afghan-style that is sure to brighten and diversify the flat, dry surroundings.

Donnan worked in collaboration with High Desert Test Sites, a non-profit organization that works with artists and audiences to create and sustain immersive experiences. The organization ultimately wishes to expand and challenge our definition of art.

This conceptual art project is culturally relevant, astoundingly performative and, most importantly, incredibly fun to look at! It will surely delight and amuse audiences, as well as provoke their thoughts.
