In Hong Kong this May, Christie’s auction house will be auctioning off a near flawless, 101 carat, white diamond.  If you’ve been in the market for a 100+carat diamond, you know this is a rare opportunity as there have only been 3 diamonds over 100 carats ever sold.  The diamond is likely to go for 6 million USD and the buyer gets the naming rights.  Its a bit late for Valentine’s day, but I am willing to bet that she won’t mind the wait.

The diamond was found at the Premier diamond mine in South Africa, and is being sold by a Europe-based diamond trading company. (news.xinhuanet)
