Lucas Ossendrijver and Alber Elbaz designed the Lanvin Fall 2014 Menswear Collection. Coining "digital" as the season's key word, the term is actually quite appropriate for the collection; it's minimal and utilizes dark, neutral colors such as navy and Yale blue, brown and silver gray.
Probably the reason behind this neutral palette is to allow the models' haircuts to shine through, each featuring a variation of the shaved Mohawk style, perhaps appealing to the current fad of the shaved haircut in today's digital age.
The collection is youthful, featuring skinny suits and an explosion of geometric broderie anglaise. It's a clash between the 1980s club kid color and texture, as swatches of electric blue or fuschia impose on leopard and pinstripe. The collection is ready for the next generation.
