Lana Crooks is an artist based in Chicago, Illinois, who creates stunning creatures out of hand-dyed silk and wool. Impressively realistic, the sculptures are nevertheless very small, which is further testament to how talented Lana Crooks really is. From winged insects to the skeletons of other animals, her sculptures are a unique combination of "the antique, the creepy, the cute and the mysterious," as she puts it.

A few years ago, Lana Crooks made waves on the Internet with her snake sculptures made out of plaid trousers. Since then, she has won numerous accolades for her increasingly intricate work and is now a member of the OhNo!Doom Collective. Lana Crooks' latest round of work will be displayed at the Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco, California.
