For all the progress being made in modern design and architecture, 'Lake Wendouree House' shows that there's still pleasure to be had in traditional styles and materials. The recently refurbished home elegantly combines aspects of its original layout and design with contemporary additions, showing off the best of materials across decades.
From the outside, Lake Wendouree House looks modern thanks to a canted roof and large windows that let in ample natural light. However, the inside of the Australian abode tells a different story. Much of the home is sleekly white with metal accents, but the designers opted to retain classic aspects like a rich wooden paneling that lines the central hallway and ornate glass panes in the door to the living room.
