The Kris Van Assche Fall 2014 Menswear Collection has achieved a comfortable balance recently, lightening up his eponymous label with comic, sporty touches and leaving the full force of his poetic gravity to shine at Dior Homme.

The new offering features tailoring sliced through sports jerseys and poppy polka dots, however for Friday's show he chose houndstooth and herringbone as his graphic abstraction. He cites the works of Californian artist John Baldessari as the collection's starting point.

Layered puffy vests and tunics are some of the items featured in the collection, however most pieces are actually incredibly sleek and very 'man about town.' The palette featured in the collection varies from darker tones like navy blue to mid tones of burgundy.
