The USA's leading plumbing manufacturers Kohler Co., has put out an ad campaign "The Bold Look of Kohler" designed to portray the company and its products as cutting edge, sexy and, well, bold.
"As I See It" is Kohler's print campaign. These ads are more reminiscent of high-end fashion than calls of nature or kitchen fixtures. Kohler has flooded the market with glossy, high-quality, highly evocative pictures (disco dancers in a shower, glass blowers working on a sink, a dog-fight in a plane with a faucet as throttle) that can be seen in such bastions of high fashion and culture magazines as Vanity Fair and Vogue. In addition to its print campaign, Kohler has put out a number of very clever and witty TV commercials that really take simple, banal, every day routines such as using your toilet, or bathroom sink or taking a shower etc to whole new levels.
Who knew that going to the bathroom or taking a shower could be such profound, life altering experiences.
