The Sake Kit Kat Flavor Offers a Boozy Japanese Flavor

Honing in on traditional Japanese food flavors is the newest Kit Kat flavor inspired by fermented sake wine. The wafer chocolate bar is infused with a powdered version of the spirit that is layered in between the cookie and chocolate layer specially for Valentine's day. The uniquely flavored bar is segmented towards Japanese consumers and foodies that are frequently drawn to obscure Kit Kat chocolate flavors.

The sake Kit Kat chocolate is an unlikely pairing of the two foods -- but one that spawns from a traditional matching of chocolate and alcohol. The popular Nestle candy bar features the beloved layers of milk chocolate and crunchy wafer with an added sake-infused powder layered in between. The sake powder does contain alcohol, with a reading of 0.8%.
