Kirsten Dunst is a true fashion star this year. After posing for Miu Miu’s campaign, she is again on fire, but this time enriching her resume with a performance as designer.
She is the latest celebrity diversifying her main career by debuting her fashion collection. She teamed with a cashmere giant to create a capsule collection for the luxury knitwear brand Lutz and Patmos last Sunday, with a party at the Manhattan Museum during NY Fashion Week.
Kirsten follows Sofia Coppola, Christy Turlington , Richard Meier and Julienne Moore and Liv Tyler who all designed some luxury garments and dream sweaters for Tina Lutz and Marcia Patmos.
One of the pieces is a long crewneck sweater that can also be worn as a dress. A few of the designs are featured in the gallery.

Tina Lutz once described the Lutz & Patmos girl as: “She likes Jimmy Choos, but she also likes flip-flops. She likes her high-end La Mer, but then she might like Maybelline mascara…” And it looks as though Kirsten Dunst fits the bill. The starlet has collaborated with the cashmere purveyors to, like such guest designers as Liv Tyler, Carine Roitfeld, and Sofia Coppola before her, create her dream sweater. Past results have run the gamut from a luxurious watermelon cardigan cape to a distressed crewneck with shredded seams and elbow patches, but Ms. Dunst’s design falls somewhere in between as a sheer, billowy, thigh-grazing tunic.
