There are a ton of mindless tasks we do on a day-to-day basis that could potentially create energy we could use instead of using un-renewable resources, take the revolving door for example. On a busy mourning or afternoon the door hardly gets a breather, the users of that door are exerting kinetic energy to push it and make it revolve, so some ingenious company called Fluxxlab, came up with a door that captures that kinetic energy through gears and an electric generator, appropriately named Fluxxlab’s Revolution Door. Taking this trapped energy the door would distribute it to power source to be used. If all the metropolitans replaced their old revolving doors with these I wonder how much energy that would create/save. References: fluxxlab, gizmodoFiled In: |
