'Zillion' Baseball Caps by David Guarino

David Guarino’s Zillion caps are the epitome of East Meets West fusion. The hybridized pop culture accessories combine the ubiquitous North American baseball cap with the intricacy of Japanese kimono fabric.

For those not familiar with them, kimonos are traditional Japanese robes, often made of silk.

“French designer David Guarino revives old traditions with a stylish twist. These featured designs are available as a limited edition - vintage kimono fabrics in colorful or rigidly minimal patterns, Design Boom says. “One size fits all with adjustable stripe.”

We’ve actually seen western clothes reinterpreted through the influence of the kimono before; last time was in the form of men’s ties made of the recycled robes.
